NEXT + Font | Shaping the Future of Chinese Character

The NEXT Font Group is dedicated to addressing the unique challenges of digitizing the artistic expression of Chinese characters through computational methods. Our research spans the entire pipeline from fundamental data construction to end-user applications. We meticulously digitize and annotate large-scale datasets of historical seal scripts and calligraphy, which serve as the foundation for developing novel AI models for font style transfer and glyph generation. Beyond algorithms, we integrate interaction design and software engineering to build practical tools and platforms, including intelligent font design systems, user-friendly seal carving apps, and educational products. Our interdisciplinary approach, combining computer science, design, and cultural study, aims to make the creation and enjoyment of beautiful typography accessible to everyone.
